Pipe Prop Achieves IAPMO Certification
Effective Date – March 2019 – File No. 10365
Pipe Prop, manufactured by JMB Industries of Fort Worth, Texas, is approved for Directory Listing IAPMO IGC 331-2016 by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) for Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC).
Pipe Prop earned this prestigious Listing Certification through years of extensive testing and proven performance under the most severe weather conditions. Pipe Prop had already been recognized with two NOA’s (Notice of Acceptance) as the only “Miami-Dade Approved” pipe support system for hurricane zone applications.

Pipe Prop is in the news with national publications and magazines throughout the United States for its Unistrut Adjustable Pipe Support System, which makes it the only pipe support system on the market that includes a Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance and is used in the high wind hurricane zone areas of Florida.
Pipe Prop, a popular, easy-to-install and adjustable pipe support system, now has a version with the Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance* for electrical conduit. The new Pipe Prop APF-1 (1.5”) and APF-2 (2.5”) and the newly patented USPP (Unistrut) for electrical conduit are perfect to use in all areas of Florida, especially hurricane zones.
Jim Brown, inventor of the Pipe Prop, was granted a patent on June 2, 2015, for his new Unistrut Adjustable Pipe Support System. This invention came about because he wanted to expand the versatility of the original Pipe Prop to accommodate more flexibility for customized piping needs, including electrical conduits, VRF Refrigerant systems and any pipe support needed for special circumstances.
